Kim Spies grew up in central Florida and graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in social sciences. For many years, Kim and her family vacationed in North Carolina to experience the beautiful Autumn foliage and scenic mountainous views. Over the years, she grew fond of the area and dreamed of one day relocating there. In 2007, Kim’s dreams became a reality when she made the move to Huntersville, NC.
Kim’s professional career has always centered around serving others. She began her career in the retail industry, gaining valuable experience in providing exceptional service to the public. This experience enabled her to make a seamless transition into the multi-family real estate arena, where she served for 16+ years.
In 2018, Kim shifted her focus to residential real estate. She prides herself on being an advisor to home buyers and sellers in helping them with, arguably, the largest investment of their lives. Kim provides valuable market insight, education and ethical guidance to every client and tailors her approach to their needs. She considers herself to be somewhat of a Relocation Specialist and draws upon her personal experiences to guide her clients through the nuances of making a cross country move. Kim understands the complexities of relocating and assists in every step of the process, from helping clients seek temporary housing, to exploring various communities that match their lifestyle, to exploring schools and other community-based amenities.
Kim has one son who attends Lake Norman Charter High School, and together with her husband, Jon, has 3 additional adult children, making up their blended family. They enjoy living in the Lake Norman area and taking advantage of all the area has to offer. In her spare time, Kim enjoys traveling, going to the beach, cooking with a nice glass of wine, or playing with her Shih Tzu mix fur baby, Molly.
